The Jonibach Sport Centre was opened in 2005 by Mr. Johan Buitendach. The organization operates primarily in the non-profit sector and is largely dependent on external funding.

Mission and Activities

During the week, the centre provides sporting opportunities for less fortunate children who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford them. The centre was established with the idea of giving these children a safe place to go after school to engage in healthy recreational activities instead of spending their afternoons on the streets.

Facilities and Capacity

The centre is equipped to host a large variety of sports and functions, ranging from sporting events such as  boxing, kickboxing, karate, martial arts, gymnastics, archery, volleyball, badminton, billiards, and table tennis. In addition to sports, the centre can also be used for entertainment events like concerts and inspirational events such as motivational conferences.

The main Jonibach hall has a seating capacity of up to 1,500 people.
